Royal Dornoch

The Golf Club was established in 1877, but people have been playing golf on the links at Dornoch since the early part of the 1600’s. The Royal Dornoch Championship Course is spellbinding and golfers from all over the world make the pilgrimage to play this natural links course.

The Tartan Collection

Tartan

To celebrate 400 years of golf at Dornoch, The Tartan Collection has been inspired by the world class courses and surrounding landscape.

Through flowing greens, the reflective blues of the sky and firth, yellow gorse in full flower that drifts along the length of the links, the Tartan encapsulates the natural beauty and warmth of welcome that Dornoch is renowned for.

The heritage and provenance of the club and its values are woven into every item of our unique tartan.  We take as much pride in every product that incorporates the Royal Dornoch Tartan as we do with every hole, green and fairway on our Championship course.  Our range of clothing, accessories and gifts provide golfers and visitors an opportunity to share their love of Royal Dornoch, wherever they are in the world.

Our Tartan is woven by the world’s leading tartan manufacturer, Lochcarron of Scotland.  Their innovation and creativity ensures we have the finest quality of products handmade in Scotland.

As Royal Dornoch was the birth place of the world renowned golf architect Donald Ross there could be no other supplier for creating our exclusive range of apparel than Donald Ross Clothing.

Our ceramics are hand crafted by local company Tain Pottery who are one of Scotland’s leading ceramic manufacturers. Their traditional skills and techniques in creating hand painted ceramics have been honed over the last 30 years and this expertise and unique partnership has helped create a range of giftware that exclusively incorporates the Royal Dornoch Tartan.
